I have a love hate with projects this size. One article is here. On one hand, it's a marvel of modern engineering and construction, it's gorgeous, it's seeking silver LEED certification, and it's 370 times the value of the project I'm on. These things make me happy. On the other hand, it's going to be a lush, luxurious center in the middle of sin city; marks a new spot for the overly rich to lounge, has already claimed 4 lives, and all the while people are starving to death in countries all over the world. These things don't make me so happy.
As my own life comes into focus, it seems also that the contrast is being intensified.

Yes. The contrast sparks an uncomfortable rub in your perspective doesn't it? (This is increasingly my reality, as well).
